I added another 8" on the side. I think this will make a lovely lap quilt to remember Carl by. I was thinking of leaving it as-is rather than attaching borders. I may have enough blue (plain blue) shirt material to leave a 4" border around it. Thoughts? I probably won't touch this again before next weekend.

Top Complete (I think I am sure now)
T-shirt quilt top done!...for now. Stash Report!
I just put in the last seam! I am so happy with how it is turning out. Carl was a "man's man" and this quilt would have been perfect. I am sure my mother will love it. I have more shirt material left so I am going to make it wider and then decide what to do next based on how much material I have.
Nothing new on the stash report. Hopefully there will be some used soon! I rarely have time to sew anymore. I interview on March 16th for the doctoral program in clinical psychology, and if I get a spot I think my poor machine will be neglected for a long time!!

T-Shirt Quilt and Stash Report!
Another week has flown by. This was a stressful one, with both good and bad events. My nephew had successful open heart surgery this week. Born with heart defects, this was not his first major surgery. He is fast in his recovery though and will be home soon. I also had a niece born on Wednesday. She is healthy and home with her mother and father. Also, I was invited to interview for a PsyD program in Clinical Psychology! I am so excited. The interview will be in March and of course I will update once a decision is made.
Today I had a chance to finish up most of the stabilizing and cutting of a t-shirt quilt. These are my step-father's old shirts. I cut out all of the pockets and sewed them back down on the larger blocks. I drew this one out on graph paper, dividing it into sections which will make the sewing easier. As shown, the quilt will measure 40" by 60." My little road map is shown to the left of the quilt I am considering making the quilt larger but want to work on what I have already completed to clear up my sewing area.

Shirts and Stash
I finally feel as though I am catching up! My life went sideways with the passing of my step-father and then with a cold. Now that I am feeling better I have begun to catch up on all the little thing I let slide. In the quilting world, I am working more on the GFG quilt and it is so nice to have the finish line in sight! Also, I have begun cutting my Step-father's shirts for the quilt I will make my mother. It is a slow process because I am having to cut out three different sized blocks and am using an interfacing as well. Trim, cut, press, and cut!
I recently won a few fat quarters from JulieKQuilts. They arrived yesterday. Thank you! She also included some extra strings for use in my Orca Bay quilt! In the bag they go!
Stash report? SAME!

July mini and Stash Report update.
This week has been spent catching up. Still not there. In the midst of all this, I was asked to turn a jacquard throw into a larger blanket. It took me a while to figure out how to turn something woven into a quilt-like blanket. I don't have a picture, but I ended up using fleece and it turned out fairly well.
In other news, I have made some small progress on the Wooden Bear July mini. One is completely finished, one just needs the beading, and one is still in the earlier stages. I finally have fusible so I can get working on that if I find time.
Here is a closeup. I really like the end result of this mini, but wasn't a fan of all.of.the.buttons!
No changes for Stash report! I bought fleece but didn't include it because I don't use fleece in quilting.
