All of the white framed blocks are I-spy blocks. Even the 16-patch blocks have a splash of I-spy. I didn't want a quilt entirely made of I-spy prints. I wanted a bit of both worlds, and think I achieved that well.
I can't wait to get this one finished and off to the recipient next month!
Great Idea - really like this setting for an I Spy.
ReplyDeleteI like that although there are lots of prints, they are all in keeping with the same color scheme.
ReplyDeleteWonderful work as usual!
This is great! I love your little mini ISpy's which are "hiding" in the
ReplyDeleteOops the end of my sentence drpped off.... At any rate... 'hiding in the 16 patches.'
DeleteGreat colors. Such a fun pattern for an eye spy.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great quilt. Love the bright colors. Hum, can I remember this idea long enough to try it? Probably not...but I can always come back to find it. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteI like your version much better than the one on Moda Bake Shop! Sorry, Moda. I keep a basket of 2 1/2" squares by my sewing machine to sew as leaders and enders so I have a bunch of two patches all ready to sew into four patches and then into the 16-patches so I'm practically halfway there!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love all the bright colors and your design really works well! :o)
ReplyDeleteWow this looks great I have a lot of nine patch squares this would be a good way to use them up - enjoyed your blog.
ReplyDeleteLooking awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove tis one might have to try after I finish the Bear paw and log cabin quilt I am working on.
